U.S. Born Citizen: An Interview with L.P.

“You never know who has to report something to someone but obviously if your friends are also illegal or they’re going through a similar situation, you could be more open because you know you’re in the same situation but when there’s official stuff or you know my managers or even my doctors, counselors, I wouldn’t want to talk about it. I wouldn’t want to talk to a therapist like nah ‘cause sometimes they have to report things, sometimes by law they have to report things, whether it’s a child abuser and I’m not sure if immigration is in that category but yeah. That’s one thing I’m careful of.” -L.P, a 23-year-old U.S.-born citizen, New Jersey
